Tacara Steiner Ranch, a 246-unit apartment complex under construction at 4306 Quinlan Park Road, has leased two dozen units so far and expects construction to be finished by March.
“The views are amazing, and we are doing hard hat tours of the leasing office,” said Monica Felan, Tacara community manager.
Response has been great, she said, and as of this week, the clubhouse and leasing office are nearing completion and 25 units have been leased.
Weather permitting, the first units will be available next month and expected to follow the timeline of: one bedrooms available in November, two bedrooms in December, and three bedrooms in January 2017.
“We will finish all buildings by the end of March 2017,” Felan said.
The 246-unit complex will have 10 buildings total with some buildings having as few as eight apartments and some having as many as 32. Plans call 234,822 rentable square feet.
Owned and developed by Casey Development, the project is being built on the terraced back of the hill on the 60-acre site that is facing Lake Travis. The property lies between the Canyon Glen neighborhood and Quinlan Crossing. Next to the site is 32 acres purchased by Hill Country Bible Church.
Most of the site will be green space and include just over seven acres of impervious coverage, according to Darren Casey, founder and CEO of San Antonio-based Casey Development Ltd.
There will be an entrance and exit into Tacara, and entry for all Tacara residents through the Vista Ridge Shopping Center.
Casey Development has purchased a traffic signal to eventually go in at the Quinlan Park Road entrance at Vista Ridge.
“Yes we have purchased it but the city of Austin stated it is not busy enough yet for it to go in. They will have to reassess later,” Felan said.
The property will consist of 150 one-bedroom/one-bath units, 80 two-bedroom/two-bath units and 16 three-bedroom/two-bath units. Exterior materials will include stone and stucco with tile roofs on all amenity buildings.
The complex has a “resort style” infinity edge pool overlooking Lake Travis, multiple indoor/outdoor living and kitchen spaces, hydro massage parlor, 24-hour strength and cardio center, on-demand Wellbeats yoga and spin studio, automated 24-hour package concierge service, 24-hour international business center, and Evolution pet-spa and manicure studio.
Tyler Sibley, development analyst with Casey Development, shows “strong demand” for the Tacara apartment project with Class A, luxury space with a high barrier to entry and “supreme and dramatic views.”
