Students from schools all around the Four Points area enjoyed their annual Thanksgiving luncheon in the two weeks before Thanksgiving break. Parents came out in droves to dine with their students on the traditional meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin cake, all prepared by each school’s cafeteria staff in their largest meal service of the year. Grandview Hills Elementary’s Thanksgiving lunch even featured young students with their turkey hats.
Besides the parents and students, staff love the meals too. Steiner Ranch Elementary school administrative assistant Cynthia Tierney said, “It’s fun to see our families together. The kids love it. And the cafeteria gets to show off a little bit.”
