Six Destination Imagination teams from Vandegrift, Canyon Ridge and Steiner Ranch Elementary competed alongside 8,000 students from 15 different countries at the Global Destination Imagination competition at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn in May.
There were two other schools in Leander ISD that also competed at Globals.
The purpose of DI is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. DI does this through a project-based learning experience that applies the creative process across seven different STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) challenges.
