Let the 2018-2019 school year begin!

first day at Four Points Middle School. And how was navigating campus with a wheelchair? “It was interesting,” said Able with a laugh.

More than 7,700 local Leander ISD students started the 2018-2019 school year on Aug. 16 with hopes and anticipation of accomplishing great things.

Many parents took the traditional first-day-of-school photos from kindergarteners to seniors at the eight local LISD schools: Laura W. Bush, Grandview, River Place, River Ridge, and Steiner Ranch elementaries, Canyon Ridge and Four Points middle schools and Vandegrift High School.

It is an exciting time of year for many students, teachers and parents alike as the countdown begins for 75,600 minutes of instruction, or nearly 180 school days, until the school year ends on May 31.
