A Round Rock man died at the scene of a motorcycle accident on March 26 on RM 620 northbound, just south of Quinlan Park Road near Mansfield Dam.

Around 1:30 a.m., Eduardo Ernesto Benedetto, 44, was driving a 2011 Yamaha and traveling southbound on RM 620 at an unsafe speed in a curve, according to the report by Texas Department of Public Safety.  

The motorcycle  straightened out the curve, crossed through the center turn lane and both northbound lanes and struck the guardrail,  Sgt. Robbie Barrera, DPS spokesperson shared.

Benedetto, who was born March 7, 1975, was thrown over the guardrail and rolled south along the guardrail. He came to rest on a rock embankment on the northbound side of RM 620.

The motorcycle continued traveling southbound along the guardrail on the northbound side until it struck the guardrail a second time and shot back across the roadway through the center turn lane and both southbound lanes and struck the guardrail on the southbound side of RM 620.
