The 95-room Hyatt Place hotel is nearing completion after more than a year of construction near CVS Pharmacy at the RM 620 intersection of Bullick Hollow Road/RM 2222.
Construction began in August 2018 at the 6.6-acre tract at 7300 N. RM 620, according to earlier reports by Four Points News.
The five-story Hyatt Place Four Points hotel will include a swimming pool, gym, mini bar and 2,500-square-feet of meeting space, confirmed Navid Karedia, partner in Spades Hospitality, the company that owns the project.
In an earlier report with Four Points News, Karedia projected that the project would be finished this month but now states that he expects the hotel to open in early 2020.
Plans call for the hotel entrance to be off of RM 620, with a shared driveway with CVS. The site is to include a parking lot with 105 spaces and a walking trail encircling the property, according to Karedia, who’s from the Houston area.
Approximately a year ago, he shared several reasons for building in Four Points.
“We just saw that there was good corporate business and a good visitor market being near Lake Travis,” Karedia told Four Points News.
He cited Concordia University Texas’ presence nearby as well as the other Class A office buildings in the area as additional factors for choosing the RM 620/RM 2222 location.
Karedia said Hyatt Place Four Points is his first venture in Austin. He owns and operates five other hotels in the Houston area.
“So it just seemed like a lot of growth is coming to the area along with a lot of mixed-use development,” he said in an earlier report. “We felt like it was a good area to get a nice Hyatt hotel in the market.”
