Brenden Foster’s vehicle was found by authorities abandoned on Feb. 5 in the Four Points area and he was reported missing by his family after that, but extensive searches by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers have not turned up conclusive answers as to his whereabouts as of Thursday morning.
On Feb. 6, articles of Foster’s personal belongings, including his prescription eyeglasses were found near the water at stairwell 14 (the last stairwell in the park) when park officials did preliminary search of park, according to information from the family.
“We’ve been searching for Mr. Foster since Feb 5th. His abandoned car was discovered in the Hippie Hollow parking lot,” said Kristen Dark, TCSO spokesperson.
Travis County conducted extensive searches for Foster.
“We have employed the following resources: Deputies, K9, helicopter, drone and dive team. TXSAR has also conducted several search missions with multiple dogs and considerable manpower,” Dark said.
Volunteers, including local residents, have been searching too and helping the family, who is desperately trying to find out what happened to Foster.
His family circulated a missing person’s flyer with his description: Brenden “Chameleon King” Foster a 25-year-old African-American man with a slim build, weighing around 125 pounds and 5 foot 10 inches tall.
Foster’s older sister Fadeelah Muhyee told FOX 7 Austin last week that Foster is a vocalist who has been in the Austin area for five years. She describes him as “a loving person who has lived with a bipolar disorder and has battled manic episodes in the past.”
Call Travis County Sheriff’s at (512) 974-0845 #3 with any information leading to the closure of this case.
