Lake Travis Fire Rescue firefighters responded to reports of smoke in the greenbelt area at 4501 RM 620 N.

Calls came in around 3:45 p.m. on August 3.

LTFR, Emergency Services District 6, worked on the small brush or vegetation fire behind the Travis County precinct building.

“It was about half an acre, plus or minus,” said Lt. Chad Huff, LTFR arson investigator.

LTFR and Austin Fire Department worked on the fire for about an hour and extinguished it, Huff.

“The cause is undetermined. I can’t rule out the possibility of electrical,” Huff said.
