After nearly a decade, Steiner Eye Care is building new offices.
Optometrist Clay Barnett opened his practice at Quinlan Crossing in September 2012 with a goal of delivering vision care in a relaxed environment. He plans to continue that in his own building at 6111 RM 620 N., not far from Dr. Beemer.
The slab was poured last week on the 2.2 acre site and construction is expected to finish by spring 2022.
“We will have our office, just over 3,000 square feet, and 1,800-square-foot tenant space for lease that is not leased yet,” Barnett said.
Trinity Constructors and Cornerstone Architects are working on the project.
“We are in the 620 conservatories which means we can’t build on the majority of (the 2.2 acres),” he added.
Barnett, a native of Burnet, Tex., graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a bachelor of science degree in human biology as well as the business foundation degree from the Red McCombs School of Business. He received his doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
