In the first six months of 2021, there were 174 vehicles involved in crashes along the main roadways in Four Points.

There were 40 vehicles involved in reported crashes on RM 2222 in Four Points, and 134 vehicles involved in reported crashes on RM 620 from Mansfield Dam to Anderson Mill.

The data — compiled by Texas Department of Transportation at the request of Four Points News — shows speed and alcohol were factors in a small number of accidents. It is noteworthy that four of the crashes involved motorcycles which is disproportionate compared to the small number of motorcycles typically on the roadways. 

2222 crashes

Between January 1 and June 30, 2021, there were 40 total vehicles involved in crashes along RM 2222 and Bullick Hollow Rd. between Ribelin Ranch Drive and RM 2769.

Of the total, 27 were non-injury crashes while six were suspected serious injury crashes. The remaining seven crashes had either possible injuries or suspected minor injuries.

Of the 40 total, one crash was an alcohol-related crash, one was a speed-related crash, and one was a motorcycle-related crash with suspected serious injuries.

620 crashes

Between January 1 and June 30, 2021, there were 137 total vehicles involved in crashes along RM 620 between Mansfield Dam Road and Anderson Mill Road.

Of the total, 82 were non-injury crashes while 23 were suspected minor-injury crashes. The remaining 25 were possible-injury crashes.

Of the 137 total, two crashes were alcohol-related, seven were speed-related, and four were motorcycle-related crashes.

Two of both the speed-related and the motorcycle-related crashes had possible injuries and the other two crashes that involved motorcycles had suspected minor injuries.
