The Vandegrift marching band and Vision Dance Co. debuted their halftime performance on August 26 at Monroe Memorial Stadium.
“This is another exciting year for the Viper band and Vision Dance Company,” said Kaite Van Doren, VHS director of bands. “We have 400 students in the program and our largest Vision Dance Company in the history of the program.”
This year’s show music includes: “The Grid” from Tron Legacy, “Machine” by William Bolcom, “Adagio” from Tron Legacy, “Masks and Machines (Machines)” by Paul Dooley, and “Hymn of Acxiom” by Vienna Teng.
“We are not only going to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in November, but this is also a UIL State Marching Band year for us, and we couldn’t be more excited to start this season up again,” said Van Doren, who took over the director seat this season.
The 2022 Viper marching season drum majors are: Koustubh Galagali, Garrett McCosky, Avani Singh and Anthony Tang.
“We are all super stoked for this marching season and Macy’s, and are having so much fun seeing the show come together in the early part of the season,” Singh said.
