Viper athletes sign to play at college level Aidan Spaulding signs a letter of intent to swim at Drury University on February 8. “They [Drury] are ranked very highly in the D2 swim ranking, as they have placed in the top three the past five years,” Spaulding said. “Now, they’re number one, which is really exciting for me as a swimmer.” Isaiah Thompson signed a letter of intent to play football at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on February 8. “Come freshman year to now, I didn’t have the easiest football route. And, they [family] were the people that stood by me the most and I couldn’t have done it without them,” Thompson said. “I’m excited to get there, be on my own, and go, and get and grind.” Daemian Wimberly signs a letter of intent to play football at Southern Methodist University on February 8. Wimberly hopes to start off at a great spot with academics at SMU. “I would hope to break some school records on the football field,” Wimberly said. Carley Thornton signs a letter of intent to run cross country and participate in track and field at Angelo State University on February 8.
