UPDATE on July 26

Kenneth Crawford had been working at Randalls supermarket for about six months before he was found dead on the morning of July 20.

Steiner Ranch resident Susan Gibbs, the mother of the 58-year-old man, said he likely passed away on July 19. His body was found on July 20 in a wooded greenbelt in the Quinlan Crossing shopping center at 5145 N RM 620, near the entrance of Steiner Ranch. Randalls is not far from where he was found by a landscape worker that morning.

“He was out in the elements all night long. So sad,” Gibbs shared.

Gibbs said the autopsy is done but she will not have a complete update on the cause of his death until after the toxicology report is finished, which is expected to be concluded by October.

The Travis County crime scene specialists and detectives were on scene investigating as is customary with deceased person calls.

She added that cause and manner of death is determined by the Medical Examiner and autopsy results take 7-9 weeks.
