The Vandegrift High School Legacies dance team is celebrating a record breaking spring competition season. After winning Overall Grand Champion Team and Overall Grand Champion Officer awards multiple times in the same competitive season, first at Ascension Dance Hill Country Challenge and then at Crowd Pleasers Dance Regional Showcase, the team finished third place overall at Crowd Pleasers Texas State Showcase.
Under the leadership of director Holly Lyons and assistant director Alexa Olson, the team walked away with many top place team awards, including multiple awards won by soloists and duets.
The Legacies will host their annual Vanguard Spring Show on April 25, 26 and 27 at VHS Performing Arts Center. With “Backstage” as this year’s theme, the show will feature the Legacies and Vision dance teams, as well as Four Points area middle school dance teams. The Legacies are grateful to Four Points businesses for sponsoring Vanguard. Tickets will go on sale soon at VHSLegacies.org.
