VHS Homecoming King & Queen 2024

Marc Child and Ellie Bergquist were crowned the 2024 Vandegrift Homecoming King and Queen on October 25 at halftime of the game against Hutto.

Bergquist is the head captain of the varsity cheer team, a member of the National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Science National Honor Society, PALS, and YoungLife. Her parents are Andrea and John Bergquist and her grandparents are Linda and Arnie Bergquist. She plans to attend Texas A&M University to study business administration at Mays Business School. 

Child is the VHS Student Section Leader, involved in PALS and YoungLife. His parents Susan and Greg Child, and his siblings are Max, Mallory, and Madden. He plans to attend A&M to study engineering. 

Vandegrift Homecoming Court 2024:

Vandegrift seniors Ava Chu and Jerome Lee were nominated for queen and king.
Chu is a Vandegrift band member who serves as the drill instructor. She is also vice president of both HOSA and Science National Honor Society, and president of Active Minds. Grace and Thaison Chu are her parents. She would like to become a psychiatrist one day.
Lee is a VHS band member and he is also involved in UIL Academics, Active Minds, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. His parents are Hyungju and Jeong Lee. He plans to study chemical engineering.
Vandegrift seniors Ava Brown and CJ Remy were nominated for queen and king.
Brown is a Vandegrift band member, and she is also in Vet Science and FFA. Her parents are Tamany and Roger Brown. One day she would like to become a veterinarian.
Remy is a VHS band member and is also in the Rake the Lake Club. His parents are Cami and Chris Remy. He plans to study psychology.
