Volente’s 2024 to include new plans, Lime Creek Rd. safety, pipeline updates The Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority is in the middle of constructing an underground intake pipeline and tunnel through Volente to Lake Travis. The estimated $180 million project is scheduled to continue through 2027. An interlocal agreement between regional water agency BCRUA and the Village of Volente is finally in place, Mayor Tom Blauvelt said. However, construction efforts have been frustrating for residents who contend with truck traffic coming down Sherman Street to serve the build out of a 3,000-square-foot maintenance structure on Bernard Street.
