A Vandegrift ACCELerator team – second from left Vincent Cuthbert, Alex Mokhov, and Christian Long – won first place at the Texas High School Ideas Challenge on May 2. The team was awarded $2,500 for their company Slap Daddy Koozies. A total of 40 finalist teams – comprised of more than 100 students from 26 high schools in 14 Texas cities – were selected as finalists and invited to compete in person at Texas A&M’s McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship.
