Texas Department of Transportation is soon to start a half million dollar project along RM 620 as it will add concrete safety barriers in four curved areas of the roadway between Mansfield Dam and RM 2222.
The project is expected to start Sunday, July 28 and will cost $556,062.

A coveted Canyon Ridge Middle School award has been renamed to honor longtime, former principal Susan Sullivan.
Each year, coaches collaborate to select deserving athletes to receive the CRMS Fighting Eagle Award, which only four students receive — a boy and girl in both 7th and 8th grades.

Many don’t want more fees, On July 23 district agenda

River Place residents Chuck Reynolds said he and his wife, Kate Holloway, can no longer venture out at will to their nearby neighborhood trails for a hike. The couple live in Cortana Ridge, outside of the community’s Limited District, and are required to pay $10 per person and pet to use the popular paths outside of a weekday window when the trails are free to non-Limited District residents.

Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., announced Steve Crawford as the principal of Four Points Middle School on Thursday, July 18.
“Steve is a dynamic, proven leader in our district,” Troxell said. “He brings a great deal of experience in best instructional practices and has demonstrated an ability to create a campus learning culture that sets and promotes high expectations of learning for all students and staff. He is a lifelong, effective, approachable communicator, and he has developed a superb track record of successful collaboration among teachers, staff, parents and community members.”
