BREAKING: Gov. Greg Abbott says he’s removing statewide mask mandate, capacity limits on businesses next week

Abbott made the announcement at a Mexican food restaurant in Lubbock. The change, which comes as the seven-day average of new coronavirus deaths remains above 200, will go into effect March 10. He said starting next Wednesday, “all businesses of any type are allowed to open 100%” and masks will no longer be required in public.
