Another Steiner board member resigns

Brad Stanton resigns from Steiner Ranch Master Association board.

Brad Stanton, vice president to the Steiner Ranch Master Association board has resigned effective immediately. Stanton is the fourth elected SRMA board member to either resign or vacate their respective positions in the last 12 months. Another board member resigned early in September 2017. There are only seven board members that serve on this HOA board. Stanton takes time to share with Four Points News and the community his reasons for leaving the board after one year and before his term is complete.

It’s been a privilege and honor to serve the great citizens of Steiner Ranch and especially those that elected me in District 2. We accomplished two of the three goals to which we committed: the Steiner Stars swim team obtained one additional home swim meet, and the landscaping and parking safety was improved at Westridge Park.

Vandegrift girls soccer wins area championship

The Vandegrift Lady Vipers defeated Klein High School 3-2 in an area playoff game on April 2 in College Sation, earning them the title of Area Champs.

The Vandegrift Lady Viper are the Area soccer champions after defeating Klein High School 3-2 in a playoff nailbiter on Tuesday, April 2 at College Station HS.

Vandegrift moves onto Round 3 of the UIL State Playoffs against Cypress Woods High School on Friday, April 5 at 8 p.m. at Bastrop Memorial Stadium.

Steiner man conquers Mt. Kilimanjaro while raising $20k for charity

The nine person team hiked for over eight hours in order to reach the highest peak in Africa, at 19,341 ft.

Steiner Ranch resident David Lesniak, CEO of Austin-based Personiv, and members of his management team formed a nine-person group to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro for the sake of charity.

They began their trek on March 2 and summited Mt Kilimanjaro on March 8.

“All nine of our team were able to make it to the top successfully thanks to the superb program guides provided by the African Walking Company,” Lesniak said.

The Wildfire Fuels Mitigation Crew keeps the Four Points area safer.

The crew is “keeping communities safer from fire and managing potential fire fuels, and making deterrents in communities,” said Lt. Adam Griggs, fire inspector/ investigator Lake Travis Fire Rescue.

The crew works on homeowner association owned land, preserve land, and some park land, Griggs said

Residents speak out at Steiner forum

During the open forum portion of the Steiner Ranch Master Association annual meeting on March 26, five residents spoke against the SRMA board of director’s endorsement of route F, no other topic was brought up. The discussion stems from the board’s actions several weeks ago, when a majority told Travis County that it supports the proposed permanent road connecting Steiner’s Flat Top Ranch Road to RM 620.

“I’m shocked and horrified for your vote (in favor) to put route F through a green belt and park,” said Robbie Seal, Steiner resident.
