Neighborhood Sports Commissioner Manske marks 25th season

Thousands of Four Points area children have had the benefit of 25 seasons of team-based recreation, thanks to Galan Manske. A Steiner Ranch resident since the mid-1990s, Manske is commissioner for the Four Points chapter of Neighborhood Sports, an Austin-based non-profit for youth athletics.
Every season presents its own set of challenges including this spring season, which has been on hold due to the coronavirus stay-at-home order.
Regional medical director shares COVID-19 insights
Doctors are in a unique position to be on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
“These are unprecedented times,” said Ann Buchanan, MD, emergency physician and regional medical director for TeamHealth. There is nothing in modern times to compare coronavirus to. “This is akin to the Spanish flu in 1918,” she added.
TeamHealth is a national, physician-led company. Buchanan’s group consists of 150 physicians who cover the region including San Marcos (Hayes County), Austin (Travis and Williamson Counties), Lampassas (Lampassas County), Killeen (Bell County), and Palestine (Anderson County).

Without vibrant small businesses, our unemployment rates would skyrocket and our economy would tank into recession.
Abbott taps Wilson for Texas Health role
